Merzedes and The Grind

Merzedes Šturm-Lie (BE/NO/SE) is a multimedia artist living and working in Brussels and Stockholm. In her performances, she uses voice and sound as a temporary passage between worlds, moving between chaos and harmony to immanence and transcendence.
For this new project, she teams up with Raph A (BE), a composer-musician-artist based in Brussels, to create an abstract yet musical mix of technoïd improvisations and the vocal actions for which she is known for through her work as a solo-artist.
As a two-piece unit, this collaboration also aims at a more live-band experience with a freeform approach while displaying left-field and electronic influences.
